Back by popular demand, our speakers will address this  important topic that received great feedback in 2017. The discussion will focus on the concerns of aging seniors. Here is a sampling of questions to be addressed:

 About the Speakers:

Amanda Gelatt has worked in healthcare for many years. Her experience ranges from working for physicians, surgeons, hospice, an Independent and Assisted Living retirement community and a senior living placement agency. She has participated in many health fairs, chamber of commerce events, health and wellness meetings and a guest speaker in healthcare settings.
Amanda's passion is assisting seniors and their loved ones.  She goes above and beyond to ensure that each client receives the best service, recommendations and education.  She will ensure you have all the resources that may be helpful to you and your loved one.  Amanda feels it is a privilege to help you and your loved one throughout this significant transition.

Karen Kochhar, the owner of Right at Home in Tucson, grew up in Tennessee, enjoyed a small-city life, attended church, participated in mission work and found those experiences to be an important part of her development. For as long as she could remember, she always had great rapport and empathy with elderly friends and family.  

For the past 14 years, she has been caregiving. She has raised two amazing children and now cares for her aging mother-in-law in her home.

Right at Home serves the following areas: Tucson, Northwest Tucson, Marana, Catalina Foothills, Casas Adobes, Oro Valley, Catalina, Saddlebrooke and Oracle.

Stephani Norwood Thompson, Licensed Mastered Level Social Worker, graduated with a Masters In Social Work from The University Of Southern California. She has over

25 years Experience working in Adult and Geriatric Health Care.

Before moving to Arizona, she started out her career as a therapist in the Employee Assistance Counseling (EAP) at USC Staff and Counseling Center. She then moved on to working as a Social Worker for Vistas Healthcare the largest provider of Hospice Care in the United States. There she developed a love for working with patients and family at the end of their life.  

In 2000, She relocated to Arizona. She Started out her Career In Tucson working at UMC Home Health, Kindred Acute (LTAC), and Amedisys Home Health. She has been instrumental in initiating Innovative community programs along with Tucson Medical Center to lower Chronically Ill patient's readmission, through patients education and utilization of community resources.  

Valerie Boatner, Case Manager, has over 30 years of experience in the health care service industry. Direct work experience in the following areas: Acute rehabilitation hospital, acute hospital, skilled nursing facility, home health services, assisted living facility and in the area of Elderlaw.

For the past 10 years she has provided services to private clients as an Independent Care Consultant/Personal Agent. Specializing in the area of healthcare consulting, advocacy and resource development for private clients and their family members.
